Pen pals and Paper dreams

Lately, I’ve been really inspired to create stationery. It’s actually been a long-time dream of mine, and recently that dream got a little spark again; thanks to something I found while cleaning: my old Diddl folder full of stationery sheets.

Of course, that sent me straight down the rabbit hole again. I started looking up Diddl online and found out… it’s making a comeback! I saw clips from people in France and a few mentions from folks in my homeland, all excited about the return. I haven’t seen anything in stores yet myself, but still, it gave me such a nostalgic buzz.

A few months ago, I also came across some old Diddl magazines. Back then it sparked a little something, but not quite enough to pull me back into the stationery world. Now? Totally different story :)!

As a kid, I used to make little cards and magazines, always hoping someone else out there would do the same. I had a cousin I used to exchange letters with. We wrote stories about our Bratz dolls, and she always included the cutest stationery and tiny gifts in her envelopes. I absolutely loved that. It made me feel connected to her in a way that went beyond how close we were in real life, especially since we lived far apart.

So when I started seeing more people on TikTok showing off their pen pal envelopes, decorated letters, and happy mail… something just clicked. This is what I’ve wanted to do for so long: create my own stationery, write to people I love, and make silly or magical little stories along the way.

That’s also something I’m trying to do with this blog: to turn it into its own little world, filled with the kind of style and feeling that inspire me. I still hope to meet others who enjoy this kind of creative world-building, but for now, I’m just really enjoying the process.

Whenever I have updates (like new designs or ideas for my stationery) I’ll add a link in the cabinet where I collect some of my creative works.

Until, whenever 🐦‍⬛
